Well there are many contradictions, in fact there is a book on Evolution vs God.

Many christian biologists don't see contradictions.

But the main one being that in Genesis it talks about God creating each animal of it's kind. There was no indication of a change between kinds ever occurring.

This what happens when you expect bible to be a complete course on evolutionary biology. Just like there's no indication of field effect in semiconductors in bible. Does not mean it does not exist.

Also the animals/living creatures were all created on the same "day", with once again no indication of change.

Change happens right now.

Also, the bible indicates that the earth is less than 10 thousand years old, which would be impossible for scientific "evolution" to occur in this time frame. I could elaborate
