When it comes to how a topic of interest is portrayed it’s more common for people to judge the topic based on how the topic was sold to them then it is for people to judge the topic based on their own research. This is why there is so much political division through the media it’s also the reason why incels are portrayed in such a bad way.
If your dealing with someone who will only judge a topic based on how the topic was sold to them it’s pointless to argue with them because they’d rather place their judgement on how they’re preferred side sold them the topic while showing a disregard for going through more effort to look in to the topic.
If who you deal with won’t look in to the topic to learn more you just run the risk of having more of an argument than a discussion about the topic you want to discuss. When I can tell people will only stay on their preferred side I see it as being best not to talk to normies about incels because they’ll only ever bring a bad label to incels when it comes to the discussion while I don’t see any point in convincing them due to their ignorance.
When you go through the effort to look more on to a topic you process it more fairly through an admission of what you don’t know. what’s been sold to you is not always something you know as a fact it’s something you see as a bad label from someone’s narrative of how they sell a topic. When someone judges a topic on how a topic is sold to them they imply a certain view likes it’s a label they can used to sum up a topic they know nothing off.
