You spend most of your time with other men and are never around women. A lot of my friends who were married were cheated on.

Well, the biggest benefit when first starting is that you gain discipline. When I first joined I weighed 230 pounds and couldn’t do a single push up. After basic training I weighed 190 pounds and could do 50 pushups. I can’t overstate how much confidence you get after finishing basic training. You feel like you could beat anybody’s ass. You also learn how to be masculine. I was a shy pussy with a stutter who would look at the floor when talking to people. I only have a Roth IRA. I didn’t think to invest when I was younger but I wish I did. Since you’re young I would research what to invest. Since I did the full 20 years I have a comfortable retirement. I read that you are thinking of joining the military. Remember you will not be making a lot of money early on. One of the biggest nightmares is finishing your 4 year service and having no money after. Start investing in a Roth IRA as soon as possible.
