The time I went to a middle school class dinner
I regret it to this day. Nobody even told me about it until I found out myself, I kinda wasn’t invited between the lines. When I was little I desired attention and care, very different from what Im now, if you could hold the concept of Hate in your hands throw that at me, it would be another Thursday. But I wanted some degree of connection as a kid and I went to this sort of normie dinner, with a little pouch carrying a Pokémon cards album that I wanted to have around (because I’ve aspergers) and enough money to pay for the dinner itself.
The content was stolen from me, or I lost it and then It was stolen afterwards, I cannot remember exactly because it’s been like 13 years and it’s not important. I had precious full art EX and Legend cards there that are worth a MacBook Pro today, but I made peace with that (sort of). The thing is that I had to ask for a ride cause my dad couldn’t and didn’t want to take me there.
I still had to pay for dinner, and I remember that some guy that took me there was FURIOUS that he had to pay for my meal and I was treated like shit, this was like a foids father that accompanied some of us I don’t remember much.
I even had to bring back the money to the door the next day. He was probably regretting to even agreeing on taking me there. It’s a foggy memory and I removed most of my childhood to not harm myself any longer, but you realize it’s truly over for you when you get treated like that as a kid. And that guy wasn’t poor. I get paid like shit, but I wouldn’t never be like this to a kid, that’s abhorrent.
I wish I could hug my kid self and protect him from the evil of the world.
