A few years ago, I showed my face three times and learned my lesson. I was delusional, thinking I was at least 5/10, if not a 6/10. While in Asia at that time, I was using a certain chatting app. Foids were interested in talking to me after I mentioned I was half white and Asian since they tend to think those are very attractive. Despite my awkward personality and language barrier, they were very enthusiastic and eventually begged to see my face. My misplaced confidence made me foolishly agree.
The first time I was ghosted right after. I convinced myself the foid was just busy. She never replied. With the second and third, conversations started out "strong" (very dry and awkward but strong for me) but their tone changed completely and the conversations quickly died off once I revealed myself.
"oh, that's how you look like. cool i guess".
"you didn't look like I expected".
They eventually told me to stop bothering them and soon stopped answering my messages at all.
This hurt like a truck. At the same time, it was almost commical how predictably they acted after they were disgusted of me.
Note that I don't try to talk to foids online anymore. It was a one-off thing which initially worked because of my supposed "halo" as a hapa in Asia. Usually, people can sense my "bad personality" on the internet and I get mocked by most online as well.
