This is obviously water at this point but i've noticed through all my years being sub5 and noticeably autistic and "off" that there's like three main types of treatment you receive from people
#1: people who just flat out stare at you with an angry/disgusted face and they literally just fucking hate you from the get go first time seeing you, even if they know fuck all about you they just take one look at you and just hate you, eventually with enough exposure they can either turn into #2 or #3, but most often it's #2
#2: people who just flat out don't even actually even register you as a sentient being, maybe they'll glance at you for half a second but it's like you basically don't exist to them, they genuinely just completely ignore you, you could be doing the coolest shit in the whole building but they'll still barely acknowledge you and it's like they really see you as an imamate object or something like a particle of dust floating through the air
#3: people who are overly nice and sweet to you like they perceive you the same way one would perceive someone with down syndrome or something, they'll speak to you in an extremely sweet and friendly yet still arms length shallow sort of way, like they literally just see you as a bumbling 6 year old, this one at least for me, hurts the most, because for me it means that my differences must be so immediately obvious and extreme to the average stranger that some people literally feel pity and infantilize me right off the bat, like my autism and ugliness is so drastic that people literally perceive me as being disabled
That's the three main types of treatment I've noticed being an ugly autistic man my whole life, there's probably another category, sometimes someone will be a varied blend of all three at the same time
