In the past few days, a famous Chess player, Daniel Naroditsky, was accused of cheating by the former Chess World Champion 'Kramnik,' and after various things were said back and forth, it came out recently that Naroditsky took his own life. I didn't particularly care for the situation, but I chose to gloss over the comment section underneath a video that was hating on Kramnik for his decisions. As you'd expect, it's chock-full of NPCs who are acting all high and mighty about how Kramnik is a horrible person for making accusations without proof, and the typical drivel that comes from these kinds of people.
However, I couldn't help but find this one exchange rather humourous, simply because it's true.
Hans Niemann (LTN at best, by the way.), who you all may know from the massive 'Chess Cheating' scandal that happened quite a few years ago, was accused in the exact same manner—a World Champion randomly assuming that he must be cheating. If anything, it was actually probably worse, because Magnus Carlsen (the one who had accused him) did it simply because he was angry that he lost to Hans.
But who was to question Magnus Carlsen? He was THE Magnus Carlsen, anything he says must be true. Hans, despite his best efforts to point out how Magnus's claim was clearly frivolous, was then publicly humiliated as people made the joke that he must be 'using anal beads to cheat,' and now permanently has his Chess career ruined simply because people now know him as 'the guy who cheats at Chess,' despite no proof ever surfacing that he ever actually cheated against Magnus at all.
Understandably, he became quite upset with the community that dragged his name through the dirt, and people call him a horrible person and 'insufferable' simply because he is occasionally slightly rude to people who he believes propagated the lie about him cheating.
But you'll never see normturds ever acknowledge that, only when poor little Naroditsky dies will they finally take a stand about how this is utterly wrong!
What fools, I despise these people with all my heart.
