I don't necessarily agree that the men have no other options. It's basically just that they want sex without having to work for it. There's no real connection though. Just a lazy guy who's too broken to care anymore and a used up slut who's been passed around too much to actually see her husband as special.

They lazily fuck for a few years, inevitably divorce, the kid grows up in a broken home, and the wretched and degenerate cycle continues. It really is pathetic and it's the result of society thinking they're too good for morals.
