Ever been the punching bag of a friend group? Almost every friend group in the world has one person in that group who's the punching bag. The one that gets made fun of more than anyone in the group. Also if the punching bag decides to call someone out, or joke about another person in the group, they'll be ganged up on and shut down. This was pretty much my life growing up, from middle school to college. Friends never really considered me their equal, always made jokes and rumors at my expense and no one cared. Sometimes they treat you well, and then reveal their true feelings about you when you're not around.
Why do they do this? It's because they need someone to tear into in order to make themselves feel good.
Do you notice that your friends joke about you more than others? Lash out at you? Don't invite you out? Well sorry to tell you, but you've been nominated the group's punching bag. The only ways to deal with it are to get thicker skin or to just leave the group.
