The Pareto Principle, aka the 80/20 Rule. 80% of the effects from 20% of the causes.

Things like lighting, angle, lens distortion, and background only make up 20% of the total effect that is your face pic. Your actual face makes up the other 80%.

That's why light frauding, angle frauding, getting top tier equipment for your pictures, and getting a nice contrasting background, are all cope. Chad gets dozens of Tinder matches a day with the blocky shirtless bathroom selfie he took with the back camera on his phone, while you could shell out a week's wages for professional digital photographs and still be matchless on all dating sites.

Just don't bother going on dating sites, but if you do, don't bother putting in a huge amount of effort. You're only losing out on 20% of your max potential at the absolute most, which doesn't make a shred of difference if you're not even a 5/10 to begin with.

chad can take a pic with the camera in the point of his nose with a direct white light in his face and still look attractive.

Distortion is mostly a cope, females are still able to tell attractive but lens distorted face
