One of the biggest lies we are sold about feminism is that it is about female empowerment; and while that might be true, it's not in the way they claim. What I mean is, it consists of the lowering of the male, rather than the raising of the female.
I have the perfect story that illustrates this. My dad has the peculiar habit of being unable to make certain decisions without hiring outside counseling. When I was back home at the beginning of the year, we spent a half hour one morning in an online zoom call with some medical career advisor. Prior to the meeting, he had apparently given this advisor some information about me, noting my high grades and substantial lab hours.
Once we got on call, there was an obese middle-aged liberal white woman on the screen—you know, the type of person that is bound to be difficult. She started off with the snarky "so why do you wanna be a doktor?" (fact: I don't lmao) and the ensuing discussion deteriorated from there. Not only did she completely disregard the achievements I have under my belt, but insisted on belittling me at every turn: sending links to dumb programs for hospital slavery, ranting about "volunteering at soup kitchens" etc. I was absolutely enraged and destroyed by the end of it, and felt borderline homicidal for the rest of the day.
There was no clear resolution to this; my dad, infamous for giving bad actors the benefit of the doubt, was very annoyed at her dismissal of the initial information. I hope there is a deus ex machina that saves me from this shyt because I know for a fact that the medical field is filled with even worse woke feminist bullshit than this.
