china is facing a major food shortage, and it will spread all across the world.
due to pesticide resistant bugs, crops are failing. our crops are being flooded due to global warming, food prices are going up everywhere.

I've always wanted to live on my own piece of land somewhere on the mountains and be self sufficient anyways, so if something like this were to happen, it wouldn't be too hard for me to adapt to civilization collapse. I would probably need to get lots of surveillance measures and firearms though.

So many people would not be prepared if a societal collapse happened from either food shortages, hyperinflation, mass riots, political instability, economic failings, disease/pathogens spreading, natural disasters like wild fires, earthquakes or extreamly unlikely supervolcanic eruptions or meteor strikes, war, terror attacks, other resource shortages like electricity and water. I mean each scenario is very unlikely but all together the possibility becomes greater. I would people prepare for even small things like bulgery, robberies, power outages etc.
