The modern internet is boring

Generative ai bots have ruined every mainstream site with their moderation. No matter if it's YouTube or twatter, a bot trained off of reddit will nuke you.
Forums are borderline dead because most people refuse to use any site that's not mainstream and famous.
Piracy sites are being removed left and right.
It's a struggle to find a quality rom these days.
The Internet is so boring now. That excitement I once felt when I'd come across a flash game or engage in a new forum is gone. YouTube which once excited me is sterile and repetitive.


I have more interest in reading books or playing games than I do in any form social media.

I think it really started becoming horrible after COVID. (Although there was a push after 2016.) These companies used it as an excuse to enforce even worse censorship. It was already bad beforehand because forums were dying in favor of these massive social media sites.

That's the problem. Even if a site is good, the chances are most of its users are addicted to social media slopamine.

There are also still some decent YouTube channels out there that pump out good content that is actually entertaining but the main problem with them is that they usually make 1 upload a month and you have to actually find them as they are buried deep away from what the algorithm will suggest.

The internet was good because normalfags either avoided it or only engaged with a few sites for a limited period of time. With smartphones they are able to be online all the time, and they ruined the internet the same way they ruined real life.
