They just Filled out some fucking questionnaires in online surveys then Rated attitudes toward men using standardized scales (e.g., how warm, hostile, trustworthy, threatening, etc.) then In some studies, completed implicit tests (reaction-time tasks that measure automatic associations) In others, estimated how they think feminists feel about men (to test stereotypes) with a fixed-response: (strongly disagree → strongly agree)
What they did not do:
Analyze how the participant answers lined up with their real life actions. (this alone invalidates their study)
Take the physical attractiveness of man into consideration for the questions. (a collective of ugly man will get much different responses than chads and normies.)
Take into consideration other factors like: Online feminist spaces, Activist communities, Media figures and rhetoric that shape public perception, Institutional feminism (policy, HR, education, law, etc).
