Most of you are probably familiar with this term by now. Midwits are people whose intelligence is above average, yet not too far from it.
Neither blissfully unintelligent nor particularly brilliant, midwits are the Marxist intellectuals in Academia, the political commentators on television, the social scientists behind the latest global warming research, the insufferable defenders of modern science, and so forth.
Midwits are commonly found on Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and pretty much any other popular website, as these people crave social validation.
The midwit effect is counterintuitive from an initial perspective: the least intelligent members of society hold views that overlap with those of the most intelligent members of society, while the midwits are eternally stuck in between.
A lot of involuntary celibates may have lower IQs than the average person, and yet they are perfectly capable of comprehending the reality of lookism and figuring things out through implicit knowledge and common sense. While the midwits will rationalize an absurd explanation of why the blackpill is wrong and personality matters the most.
This is observable in racialists as well. The "White Trash Redneck" of rural America is depicted as a low IQ racist, and yet all his views regarding race is backed up by scientific studies which use statistics and explicit knowledge.
Religion as a case in point: one study found that atheists are, on average, smarter than Christians. The "I Fucking Love Science" crowd was very happy about this finding, as though having a few additional points of IQ made anyone closer to the truth than their less gifted counterparts.
So the brilliant minds that are capable of digging deeper and figuring things out by explicit knowledge and accurate observations of reality collide with unintelligent minds that are capable of comprehending reality simply by implicit knowledge and common sense, while the midwits are always the pseudointellectuals stuck in the middle.
