I actually listened to most of his final two shows live. He was giddy about getting to defend Israel against campus leftists, and declared himself on the side of "team civilization" (Israel and the West) against Hamaaas.

Shaprio wasn't reacting to Kirk's obstinance, because Kirk had none. He was reacting to the premise that there are people out there who disagree with Israel, JFL

I specifically listened live to the very segment you're speaking about. Kirk was not being anti-Israel at all, but rather setting Shapiro up to make his monologues. There was not a single point where Kirk disagreed or debated with Ben on anything.
