The first post I made on this subject approached the issue from the standpoint of rape allegations—I pointed out the irony of while such accusations are typically considered an untouchable holy grail by feminists, they had no problem at all discounting the allegations by Israelis of Oct 7 rapes (even spearheading such efforts online).
I have now come to another realization on this matter. A common justification of the Hamas incursion considers that Gazans were essentially caged and felt they could do nothing else but act out violently after a certain point. Feminists who are a part of the movement support this line of thinking. Whether you believe it is accurate or not isn't important here, because it should sound familiar regardless. It's actually quite similar to the justification behind going ER. People like him felt trapped by circumstance and eventually reacted violently. Therefore, if these feminists believe such reasoning justified the use of terror on that day, why not have similar sympathy for incels? Of course, they never would, but in principle it's the same. The minute you start justifying mass violence for your pet cause, you run the risk of applying that justification selectively. That's what I believe is going on here.
