Twitch as it is nowadays and as far as I know it wasn't anything like that 7-9 years ago.
Back in the day youtube streaming was very inconvienient and pretty fucking retarded, i remember watching one programmer comedian fatso swear everytime he tried to set up the youtube stream with both streamlabs and hangouts (which was google's product which it at that time forced every youtube streamer to use) and in the end either the stream would go black and could only hear the audio or the stream would go into 44p 4fps 4-bit audio quality. If the star signs and quantum physics aligned that day the stream could have a whole 360p 12fps completely deepfried barely audible sound. So eventually every gamer and self respecting streamer went to twitch which had the same quality as live football match on TV if not a bit better.
I personally used to watch a bit of international GD players but mostly funny local streamers that did newest game walkthroughs, goofy budget cooking shows, tech gadget reviews, try not to laugh/ meme reactions, qna's and chatting with viewers. As of now most of them are gone and nowadays only stream or upload on youtube with 2 week to 4 month intervals.
But the tradition of chatting with your viewers hasn't died out, quite the opposite it has become the pinnacle of twitch's identity, there are couple of twitch streamers, that you may have heard of (Adin Ross, Speed, xQc) whobring very little value and the main reason to even watch them is not for their gaming skills, humor or useful knowledge but for the entertainment of voting what they will do next, spamming retardation in twitch chat or trying to get them to open porn site or other sexually suggestive material that is stored on normal social media, or, using secret service psychological warfare tactics trying to bait them into saying nigger word
Speaking of porn, degeneracy and goyim entertainment, let's do a check on the girly side of twitch. Out of the 10 or so years twitch has existed women have been there for atleast like 4 years and 3 years ago there was alot of drama because twitch was attacked by an influx of whores 2 of the most famous were named Amourancid and Indiecoxx, only one of which ended up being banned, but before that they had intense rivalry and pioneered many twitch metas/trends like bikini hauls, hot tub streams, farting in microphones and ear licking ASMR with sexual innuendo eye contact towards camera.
But let's not lean back tok much into the past. It's been an almost 3 years and alot of might as well be changed. Maybe even the good guys of twitch have gassed up all the 250k of twitch harlots and the only memories of their existence memory are diaries written in ballpoint pens couple of years before it was even invented...
