There will probably come a time in my life when no one I know is around anymore—just me, facing the inevitable end. Death. And honestly, the only way I know to deal with that kind of existential unraveling is through comedy. Humor helps shift the focus away from the painful truth: that maybe my life didn’t really matter in the grand scheme, and I’ll end up alone, broken, with a bittersweet finale. I won’t live long enough to see the tech that makes humans biologically immortal. I’ll just be another relic of the past, like the people I once thought of as long gone and forgotten.

That's why it's important to enjoy life right now—these are the golden moments. Make the most of them while you can, because entropy is inevitable. Hedonism isn't some mindless indulgence like people often make it out to be. It's actually one of the most honest ways to cope with the chaos and decay of a nihilistic world. Hedonism is the best cope for entropy and no amount of “muh emotional or meaningful connection “can compensate the same level of copes provided by hedonism in a decaying nihilistic world.
