Despite the name inCEL, the rules actually say that an incel is someone "who desires a romantic relationship but is unable to enter one". The problem is romantic relationships are an obsolete custom that is no longer practiced. The institution of dating is moving away from romance. Relationships now are short term, volatile, and almost entirely based on sex.
The incel is a Quixotic figure because inherent to the incel condition is an outdated worldview about relationships. Lots of people think they aren't getting a gf because they are ugly. But the reality is that the gf as you conceive of it is something only people in the past got, if it even existed at all. Most incel's conceptions of romantic relationships are as old to us as chivalry was to Cervantes. Really, what we want is to bring the world back to an idealized conception of the way things used to be.
I liken the incel struggle of tfw no gf to Don Quixote fighting the windmill. He thinks that the windmill is a giant, which he will slay to impress a foid. Likewise, many incels are concerned with improving their looks or game to impress some foid so she will love you. I am blackpilled about sex, looks are everything for that. But you have to face the reality that the nature of relationships have changed and you won't get the romance and companionship that you want because nobody does that anymore. They just fuck.
