I recently came across a "girl", who I thought seemed legit, and "she" hit me up on Quora, and things were going smoothly. And for once, I thought I finally got lucky, that I finally had something going for me, and the girl was a solid 10, and apparently a Christian.
However, it was only in three days that my hopes were dashed against the craggy shores of reality. It turned out that I've been bamboozled. There were indeed some red flags, but I've overlooked it, since she seemed pretty legit with "her" Quora posts, and she knew a lot about God's word, and seemed to have her own opinion. "She" also went on about how people have rejected her, because "she's" "too real", and therefore prefers being without friends. However, it was when "she" went and asked for my credit card information to visit me that I realized it was too good to be true.
I reverse-image searched "her", and indeed, it was a catfish. I confronted "her" about it, asking why, only to be met with denial, and I made a complete fool of myself.
Indeed this hurt a great deal, and to be humiliated like that really got me all messed up.
That being said, I'm thankful for this experience, for this is the second time I've had a professing believer prove to be no exception; let God be true, and every man a liar.
And therefore, the next time I encounter a woman showing interest, they'll be the ones trying to prove themselves and their intentions.
May they prepare themselves, for I will be the consequence.

I shall regard them as just another scoffer until proven otherwise, which brings me to my second mistake: not disdaining the things I cannot have.Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save. (Psalm 146:3)
