If they weren't in the capitol then what law did they break and what is the probable cause that triggers the search and seizures?
It blatantly violates the fourth amendment, even if they will not be prosecuted in a court of law this search and seizure is nothing more than a criminal break in and theft of personal property.
The constitution is literally meaningless at this point, its either going to be followed or its not. If defamation suits are still allowed and searches and seizures can be triggered without probable cause then we effectively don't have a sheild of rights from an authoritarian regime.
