Have you ever heard of a “women only gym”. These gyms emerged as the solution to men being “creepy” around women in regular gyms.

Sounds like a great idea right? Women get their own space where they can exercise in peace. So why did they fail?


It’s because women don’t have hobbies. Going to the gym is a hobby. Almost all gyms are male dominated.

Most of the women that do go to the gym go there with their boyfriend. Very few women go to the gym alone. This is true with most hobbies. The guy is into it so his girlfriend tags along.


Gym owners were paying the cost to run an entire gym while only having a small fraction of customers compared to regular gyms.
