Technological development is linked with human population development. There won't be much more innovation because there won't be suitable countries for innovation to take place. West will slowly regress to worse quality of life due to demographic change and the east will stagnate with its own traditions. Africa and middle east are not even worth debating. People would always talk about the "exponential increase in technological advancement" but when I look into it, the only thing that was increasing exponentially was the amount of transistors on a chip. Literally nothing else was, or if some other field was finding exponential increase in data, it was solely due to the increase in compute.
