I was playing Super Mario 64 DS, a game I have a played a million times, however no matter how much I play the game, there are always some stars which I never remember how to obtain as if they slipped from memory, forcing me to research the internet.

I obtain all the main stars and their respective 100 coin stars, so I then obtain the 30 secret stars.

I know where they are and how to get them, however my save says ''29 secret stars''.

How? I have got all 30.

I thought I was going insane, missing something obvious, so I got a list of all of them of the internet and crossing them off:

I am replaying the stars I KNOW I've already obtained, but hoping in vain I just mindlessly neglected one, but I've been going through the list of stars systemically and crossing them off.

I've gotten all 30 stars, but my game only says I've only got 29...

I've been playing the same 30 secrets stars over and over, I feel I'm going insane, that my memory is being eroded, as if the game as inflicted some sort of amnesia on me.

I've always felt like the game is slightly unfamiliar, no matter how many times I've played it since I was 10 years old.

Even worse, I was exposed to ''The Princess'' Creepypasta the other day, and I fear these strange events have something to with it.
