The grinch is the fictitious characterization of societies perspective of an incels mindset of pessimism and pentup aggression. While the grinches origin is unknown, one automatically assumes he is a social outcast, a loner abandoned by society living a solitary life at the top of a dangerous mountain he desperately escaped to. This subtle nuance portrays his incapablity to escape the sounds of whosville no matter what extremes hes go too. This already is an indication that the grinch has a special place for whosville in his heart because he tries his hardest to leave it but never can, his desire to destroy something he likely still holds dear is displaying desire for a "reset" or a complete change of something. After ruining christmas, he believes he has changed the social dynamic to fit his own depressive narrative, he wants others to suffer just as he has. His sudden spontaneous change in heart i guess is supposed to represent his realization that causing others pain will solve/change nothing and finding love for people in his heart which is a disney tier fantasy that doesnt happen in the real world.
