The Christian Case Against Immigration

Immigration is a symptom of sin. God's commandments was to be fruitful and multiply, and people don't practice this. Only true Christians like the Amish do. When the birth rate is low, politicians advocate for immigration to solve a "labor shortage," which I don't believe in. This is what's happening in Japan.


Jesus said, "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other." A nation cannot serve Jesus or Allah at the same time or else it might despise Jesus. To prevent it from serving two, immigrants of different religions can't be allowed into the country.


The next thing Jesus says is, "You cannot serve both God and money." This is stretching it, but businesses worship money, not God. That's why they support immigration. There are some good ones like Hobby Lobby though.


Although many Latino immigrants may claim to be Catholic, according to Pew Research Center, only a third believe in the Eucharist. How often do they go to church? Most Catholics don't go to church every Sunday.


Bishop Nikolaj says:

Keep watch with vigilance, so that not even one of the enemy jumps over the wall into your city. If even one adversary jumps in, the city is lost. Only a single serpent slithered into Paradise, and Paradise was transformed into Hell.

A literal interpretation is some immigrants are like Satan.

tbh i feel there's no strong case against immigration if you are coming from a christian or muslim angle. More immigrants means more people to convert to your faith potentially

The Bishop Nikolaj quote is sort of irrelevant, and I might stretch it again, but Jesus says love your neighbor. Are foreigners your neighbors? I don't think so. I think it's referring to fellow citizens.

I also forgot these quotes: Lehi in 2 Nephi 1 says, of the land of promise given to his people by God.

And behold, it is wisdom that this land should be a kept as yet from the knowledge of other nations; for behold, many nations would overrun the land, that there would be no place for an inheritance.

But if they dwindle in unbelief they will be punished with immigration. Therefore immigration is something bad:

Yea, he will bring other nations unto them, and he will give unto them power, and he will take away from them the lands of their possessions, and he will cause them to be scattered and smitten.

I haven't read the OT, but perhaps the Tower of Babel story may be pro-nationalist. People used to speak a common language, but God didn't like that and made it so they speak different languages and scattered them. Perhaps I'm stretching it, but it seems to have been one nation, but God separated them as different nations. He wanted them to be separate. What else separates? Borders.

The book of Alma(I'm still reading it though):

Behold, the Lamanites have I cursed, and I will set a mark on them that they and their seed may be a separated from thee and thy [the Nephites'] seed, from this time henceforth and forever, except they repent of their wickedness and b turn to me that I may have mercy upon them.

I think the Lamanites are non-Whites. They should be separated forever.
