I'm trying to view things under the perspective of a normal individual discovering the incel community and wondering why it exists.

The reason the incel community exists is because the sexual revolution of the 1960s merely removed social barriers to sexuality. It did not remove biological barriers embedded deep into mankind's primitive brain (preferring partners who are young, attractive or dominant) or the way our reproductive system works (in all mammals, available uteruses are less common and more expensive than sperm cells, making females an object of competition).

Most members here fell at some point for the modern truism that "you'll get a girlfriend at some point". This is a truism because it actually works... But just for a strong majority, not for everyone. Everyone here waited and waited for a high school GF and then college GF who never came.

The sexual revolution silently and permanently excluded around 20% of males (the ugliest and weakest) from the reproductive pool. These are the males who make up this community.

In the way of solutions, I don't see any except a technological and technocratical approach (raising the looks of everyone through genetic engineering and plastic surgery, and ensuring every citizen can get a partner of acceptable looks).

Canceling the sexual revolution is impractical for several reasons, and it wouldn't solve the problem that nobody can be really attracted to an ugly old partner.

It's all why women were simply meant to be controlled, if society can continue to function. Paradoxically it is the only way they can really achieve anything resembling "equality."

Historically their hypergamous nature led to warlords, Kings, et al having first pick of the women and to very unequal societies in general. This is simply women acting in their natural state, yes. But as we moved more toward the nuclear family unit after the industrial revolution, people became more equal overall in many ways, more men had a sense of meaning and so gladly went to work (as they got their piece of the pussy-pie) pursued goals, etc. It was a way of neutralizing female hypergamy and keeping society in order.

Women have proven again and again that they don't really want equality however in this modern world where they have it all. They simply want Chad. Their actions show that they would rather share one Chad with other women if they have to than settle for their looksmatch (e.g. why they will fight over a high value guy and stay with him if he cheats, yet dump a stable, loyal "boring" normal guy almost every time). They're like dogs which must be trained.

in a nutshell, what I'm saying is that human nature is, at a base subconscious level, driven by the will to reproduce. Women and men have their natural instincts, and a well organized society usually does best if those instincts are neutralized somewhat. In human females (as in many other species) the females have the most mating options so it is primarily female sexuality which must be controlled. Contrary to what feminists believe, the 50's and before were not "a man's world"; men were simply given a more fair chance. The world we live in today is truly a woman's world however, and we can all see the results of that.

I read in an interesting study, that the brain is (in contrary to common believe) able to overwrite biological urges through social programming. The scientists showed pictures of JBs to males and randomly told them they are over 18 or not. Attractiion and arousal increased measureably on the "over 18" jailbirds.

I wish genderstudies would be a real science and independent. They could do a lot for incels and humanity overall.

This. I hate seeing incels who insist anti-“degeneracy” (I don’t consider it that) legislation enacted by the government is the logical cure to inceldom. It makes the community look so embittered and unreasonable to restrict the civil liberties of the masses so that a disenfranchised minority can feel included. If the solution comes at the expense of everyone else’s freedom then they are hardly going to be convicted by it. It’s beyond stupid.
