In all races, genders, and social backgrounds the average age of virginity loss has been increasing in recent years. More and more people are losing their virginity later.
But one very interesting fact is this
This shows that the ten year time period of 1995 and 2005 still had an increase in the average age of virginity loss, but nowhere near as much as now.The percentage of students who had ever had sexual intercourse did not change significantly during 1995–2005 (53.1% to 46.8%).
These time periods can be correlated with the rise of internet. 1995-2005 where a rising point of the internet where it was still not as well established among the populace.
But 2005-2015 is the time period where the internet really took off and led to the rise of things such as internet addiction, smart phone addiction, but most importantly of all, the rise of social media.
Facebook started in 2004 but gained more popularity a few years later.
Instagram started in 2010.
Snapchat started in 2011.
Twitter started in 2006.
But most importantly of all, tinder started in 2012.
All the social media and dating apps that we know drive female hypergamy into the stratosphere have all started and gained popularity in the time period of 2005-2015.
I can assure you that when the statistics are recorded again for the years 2015-2025 the average age of virginity will be significantly higher.
