Venting The automobile industry is one of the biggest scams in the world

Today my car broke down dozens of miles away from my home It got “repaired” a month ago by carmax. The reason for my car breaking down was due to the radiator/coolant system(supposed to prevent car from overheating) which is as supposed to be fix by the mechanics at carmax.



I call a towing service and they quoted me over 500 dollars (the carmax center was roughly 15 miles away (24km)) So I call carmax so they can waive the bill. After hours of being stranded and threatening to call a lawyer the bill gets waived and my car gets towed, and I use a ride sharing service to get back home. I now have to get a rental car due to carmax incompetence.



The automobile industry is a scam, not only due to the story I previously shared but also insurance companies. Insurance companies not only charge men more(gynocratic society) but also if you file a claim for a car accident your rates get raised hundreds of dollars more, it doesn’t matter that you may have not caused the wreck, your rates(how much you pay a month) get increased.



In a just society these practices would be banned. But since we live in a society with a money hungry government, nothing ever happens

There are more reliable (Toyota, Nissan, Kia, Hyundai) and less reliable (Ford, GM brands, BMW including MiniCooper) brands though. Neighbour is a mechanic also I was always interested in cars, but years ago.
