Dude, when I saw this apple thing I had goosebumps, this entire thing feels creepy and now I'm seeing there's so many examples like the inner monologue thing, it reminds me of this image:

I can say after this thread I'm less confused about humanity now.
If humans are so drastically different to each other on such a fundamental level, it's no wonder that some people can't be convinced with logic and they base their beliefs and decisions in life on emotion.
Some people literally can't comprehend what you're saying if you are explaining something logically. They can't visualize it, they can't mentally place themselves in the analogies you use or the scenarios you describe, they are incapable of understanding what you are saying even though it's so simple and obvious to you.
They are used to just "feeling" things rather than "experiencing" it.
Go read how the people who say they don't have inner monologues describe life, it's just so weird, they say they just "feel things" but no inner thoughts take place. They don't curse someone out in their mind if they are angry, they just "feel angry".
The people who can't visualize things, they say they just "know the shape of the apple", but they can't see it in their mind, that shit is crazy to me.
Does that mean they can't see the face of their own family members if they try to imagine it?
Is it different for faces?
Can you see your mothers face if you try to visualize it in your mind (try it with any family member)?
What do you mean by "feel an image", is there no colour and detail, and it's just a "shape"?
I've said some variation of this line in many threads while arguing with other users:
It all makes sense now. I was saying this thinking that they "aren't trying" but really and truly they were literally just incapable of even doing it.
Some people are just stuck in whatever mental framework they have, they can't change.
Trying to get them to understand what is so simple and obvious to me.
Is like trying to get a person who was born blind to imagine a rainbow.
