Toriyama's vehicle art is insanely good its a little sad that he became famous for the fantasy stuff instead iof his passion but thats the brice to making arguably the best shonen in the history of ever

yeah he incorporates that stuff in his non dragon ball series more

Toriyama had such a great style

The quality of the art was undoubtedly one of the main reasons for the massive success of Dragon Ball, since the storytelling, while not bad, was obviously all done in an improvised and rushed way, full of unintentional and unexplained retcons, which started becoming more and more apparent the more the series progressed.

One of the main reasons for the art quality is the fact Toriyama always recycled the same characters over and over, no matter what series he was drawing for. I forgot the technical Japanese term for it, lots of authors do it.

True. A lot of the plot holes came from Toriyama being forced by his studio to continue the story, he did it lazily.

I still enjoyed it all though!

I honestly think he did a pretty good job until the Frieza saga. After that, the retcons and inconsistencies already started damaging the plot to a significant extent.

I still enjoyed it all though!
DB and Death Note are the only Shounen works I truly enjoyed beyond the mere nostalgia effect.
