The left side is from a game which pushes the graphical fidelity of the PS4 to its max. The left is from a Nintendo game that is running on outdated hardware. And yet it finally dawned on me why the argument "artstyle over graphics" works so well.
Developers are using their extra horsepower to make women in video games as ugly as possible, filling them with the deficiencies you'd see in the real world. While that makes sense given that you'd want to capture realism that way, they also make almost all the men attractive Chads, creating a double standard. Let's not even get into the forced, almost uncomfortable agendas they try pushing with every game, insisting that games are a "political platform" and should be used to shut down anyone with opposing viewpoints, as if the mainstream medias and television don't do that enough. We're exactly the kind of people who get targeted as a result: loser males with no attachment to society, just yearning for some form of escapism where they don't have to be reminded of real life.
Nintendo, on the other hand, is a game company a lot of us have grown up with, and one that refuses to blindly follow these stupid trends. They make their characters and games highly stylized, focusing on gameplay over anything else (you know, because they make video games).
I'm so sick and tired of this stupid bluepilled normie trash seeping into every facet of my life.
