Stage 1 - Today (2023)
- Basic Text communication, sometimes with optional voice. Responses are somewhat lifelike, but still limited.
Stage 2 - In 2-3 Years
- Big bump in communication realism. The AI girlfriend no longer responds instantly (unless you want her to) but in a more realistic manner, she messages you about things she is doing or researching or reading throughout the day. She makes spelling mistakes, doesn't have perfect punctuation, etc. She can help you with your homework, or help write that chapter in your book. Basically a big upgrade to the current basic Stage 1. But still very much text focused.
Stage 3 - In 4-5 years
- She is now animated on your phone in real time. Either hyper realistic or anime. Realistic facial expressions and appearance according to your desire. Communication style is improved even further as she learns more and more about who you are.
Stage 4 - In 6-7 Years
- Marriage to AI becomes legal in some countries. Feminist groups pressure government to ban AI girlfriends/wives, but fail because tech companies make too much money off of it. Tinder, OF, Instagram lose 90% of traffic and declare for bankruptcy.
Stage 5 - In 8-10 years
- AI girlfriend programs introduce Halo lens support. You can now see her walking around in your room, or sitting next to you in your car. At this point you can sync her with a specialized but affordable torso/bust/head sex toy so her appearance appears ontop of the toy (like a snapchat filter but even more advanced) and have physical sex with her if you want.
