Been taking melatonin lately to help me sleep. Thankfully it’s been working somewhat, it does leave me feeling groggy but at least I can sleep at night.
One thing I noticed with melatonin is that I always have interesting dreams when I take it. Nothing too crazy, just being in different places. Last night I dreamt I was on a cruise ship, and that I was also more talkative and outgoing (and of course, probably better looking, or at least I was treated more like a human) and had the opportunity to talk to a lot of people and to get to know some of them, who actually seemed interested in me as a person.
In other dreams I’ll just be walking around a building or city with a group of friends, talking with them. Or exploring somewhere. It will be nice.
In this way dreams offer me something that’s inaccessible in real life. The ability to go through life as a normal person. To go outside without anxiety and to talk to people unhindered by anxiety and social awkwardness. And of course the treatment of being human.
It’s sad to reflect on this and realize that others can live this life just because of how they look.
