Psychiatric medications are the biggest scam in the history of medicine.

They are almost all completely ineffective.

No better than taking a placebo.

No medicine has ever made any difference in my schizophrenic symptoms.

All it really does is make me tired so I can sleep.

These medications start off with an assumption that there is a chemical imbalance in the brain.
But…….this is hypothetical, it has never actually been proven.

It has also never been proven that these medications correct the imbalance.

I had a drug induced psychotic episode 4 years ago and had to take some Neuroleptics. They did help me recover after a few months. So yes. Antidepressants on the other hand did absolutely nothing for me, other than helping with the panic attacks.

The mind is still a mystery box. I think that psychiatric medications are more a alpha test medication more then anything, a curiosity noticed in certain compounds that someone went “well we used it in this patents and now they are not psychotically aggressive, so that’s an improvement”. They only work well if you have a combination of change of environment, therapy and medication. But psychiatrists tend to want to shotgun everyone with meds and send them on their way like doctors.

it's true. all it does is give shitty side effects and make your life harder when you try to come off of them. I'm still trying to ween off sertraline and the withdrawl is hell. at least I'm down to 50mg every other day though.

I got precribed vyvanse and adderal by a doctor. I abused it for 2 years wanted to shoot up a school when i was on it. Shouldnt lie to a doctor. I told the doctor i had sex with 2 girls. Really i never had sex with anyone. If i didn''t lie she wouldnt have prescribed it. I would stay away from prescription meds if i were you. ADHD meds did a lot of damage to me
