Takashi Ninja Warrior is a free to play game available on google app store. It belongs to the souls-like genre of video games with its focus on evasion based battle and ankara(souls) recovery. The Samurai/Ninja aesthetic betrays its attempt to ride of the success of better games like Sekiro.
As expected from a small ,free to play game its exceptionally barebones. Right from the RPG elements to the battle options. My main gripe with it was that it exaggerates everything that was wrong with Dark Souls. Bad collision detection, stupid hit boxes and the enemy lock on feature which greatly cripples mobility. For a game that attempts to be challenging a certain technical finesse is expected. Other wise it just becomes infuriating. Maybe the studio should just stick to making abstract time pass games for uncles. On the positive it did help me kill some time.
Also I didn't complete it since it would keep crashing on the loading screen to the last level. So there's that. Gave it 2 stars on review
