A few people have made fun of respondents who said that they think Incels are dangerous. I voted for 'Incels are dangerous' so I'll try to explain my reasoning.
Simply put, I think that depriving young men (interpreting "young" broadly) of the ability to take up the positions they expect and desire in society (professionally, romantically, in their family, in terms of basic self esteem and social acceptance) will at the very least, and by definition, deprive those men of their stake in that society and possibly also make them antipathetic towards it. Yes, many of them will deal with that state of affairs by LDARing, becoming minimally functional shells of people, roping, etc., but some number will respond with violence against the society in general or specific sub-groups within it who they regard as responsible for their situation.
Put differently, and shifting the agency more properly, you might say that creating inceldom is dangerous for society. I don't mean to imply any moral judgement, positive or negative, on violence by incels, and I certainly (and obviously) do not support greater scrutiny / vilification of, or restrictions on, incels and their online communities.
Basically, I don't think it's soy to say that we might be dangerous if that's what people are implying. But that also doesn't mean that anyone posting here, right now, is particularly dangerous.
