Venting Sunlighting depresses me deeply

I remember when my new personal room was finished, I immediately covered that giant fucking window with a blanket. Seeing the surroundings glowing like that was very distressing to me.
I have the same problem with spotlighting, but not to the same degree as fucking light from a window.
My parents and sister question me "Why do you have your room without light? It's creepy!"
