Sudan is another example of what happens when you rely on barbarians to fight your wars

Due to lack of development a lot of countries in Sahel are still living in a level similar to ancient times and the Golden Age of Barbarians where you can just arm a group of nomads (Baggara for RSF) and they’ll easily over-run the country

Doesn’t help that the ruling elite of Sudan are choosing to go for backwards ancient emperor mindset of ‘we must cripple the military so the people won’t have enough power to rebel’ with Khartoum as the imperial capital and instead opt to rely on barbarian auxiliaries to fight their wars (again RSF).

Like Western Roman Empire did with the foederati or Egyptians with mamluks, Byzantines begging Franks in all 3 cases the same shit happens. The auxiliary army eventually turns on you and takes over. Because why wouldn’t they? Well OFC it’s more complicated but you get what I mean. Machiavelli spoke of this

Tbh IDK what Bashir was thinking allowing RSF to gain easy gold mining $$$, military experience from mercenary campaigns. Maybe he just didn’t care?

The problem at the same time is these types are just more effective and higher T. Try recruiting someone from the city and he’ll go ‘that’s not my job’ and pussy out (I would too TBH) whereas a red eyed camel herder from the desert or steppe chink will kill for free.

And it’s shameful to say but whites are sadly taller, stronger and higher T than ‘ethnics’. So I don’t blame brown emperors in the past for relying on them. Same with hiring black Sub-Saharan slave soldiers

My family comes from an agrarian tribe. Where red eyed high T warriors from the desert would regularly come in and steal all of our grain and produce. Anyone who resisted would be massacred. How brutal is that. I am literally selected to be submissive and docile

No wonder I let everyone bully me growing up. No wonder I have recessed genes selected for famine survival. Wtf man. I can’t fucking cope.

Tbh it's savage vs savage in the Sudan war.

How do people lose power to rebel if the military is crippled?
It makes sense from the conservation of power standpoint only so that you don't get couped, its less likely with a fragmented military.

The military is corrupted to hand titles and ranks of power to elites when it could be more meritocratic and represent the people/competent generals and strategists

Retarded Arab politics

Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever supports his own people in their oppression is like a camel that falls dead into a well and is pulled out by its tail.”

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'I urge you to fear Allah, and to listen and obey, even if (your leader) is an Abyssinian slave. After I am gone, you will see great conflict. I urge you to adhere to my Sunnah and the path of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs, and cling stubbornly to it. And beware of newly-invented matters, for every innovation is a going astray.'
