It would be rather sad if we start implementing eugenics through violent mass murder just before the tech arrives to do it through gene editing. If society wanted to go down that route, it should have been done long ago.
There are also unavoidable long term consequences that you have to face. This amount of murder will birth a generation harshly opposed to eugenics, which will pave the way for another cycle of disgenic policies and ideals. If you want the change to stick, it has to become part of the zeitgeist, mass murder really only does that as long as the group executing the slaughter stays in power.
