After struggling for years with a former oneitis, and most recently been infatuated with another female online, I have developed a method to stop the intense feelings and constant thought patterns associated with this.

Step 1. Understand positives/negatives
Write down all the positives about her, then all the negatives. Then why it is impractical to be with her, or why you cannot be with her. This leads to gaining an understanding of wanting a detachment from the her.
Step 2. Reframe your thinking
Shift your patterns of thought away from the person, whether this be to restrain from looking them up on social media which helps your brain to stop relying on feeding off this person .
Step 3. Getting dopamine elsewhere
After reframing your thinking patterns, your brain receptors will be looking for more, new dopamine. Chose a hobby or activity to help with this issue, preferably not online or with anyway of possibly leading to thoughts about the person. A good example is exercising e.g lifting weights, skateboarding etc - in which your brain produces it's own set of healthy dopamine and endofins to make you feel better naturally.
Step 4. Regaining self focus
It may take a few days, weeks or even months depending on the situation to get over it, but putting these steps in place will help you out, trust me. I wish I did these steps years ago instead of mentally declining over stupid things.

Step 1 is the most important, if you cannot find a way not to be with her, your body/brain will continue to not stop thinking abbout her. You will continue to crave the desire.
