I think you could've probably worded your post better. Something like, i didn't enjoy Steins;Gate due to x,y,z. You incurred hate due to a series that has a consensus on being top of the medium. Which i quite enjoyed as well. You mention Monster like is the second coming of Christ, and while it is very good, it has flaws.
Could you mention why you did not find it appealing? What do you usually watch? Time loop series are always very interesting to watch, we all daydream about going into the past/future so it has a soft spot in humanity. If they are done well, they are usually incredibly popular. ReZero being another example
