Not necessarily. I've been a social outcast my entire life and have lived alone in near complete social isolation for many years but that hasn't prevented me from immersing myself in intellectually edifying and mentally stimulating content. I read wikipedia articles regularly, I listen to podcasts by guys with PhD's in their subject matter, I consume copious amounts of great literary works that are free and accessible to anyone who is so inclined and all of this is done from exactly where I'm presently situated, on my gaming chair in front of my PC. The point is that self-education and enrichment need not be contingent on the edifice of the educational system.
If you study for 1 month before school starts, you will basically be ahead for the rest of the year.
You don't go to college exclusively for learning, it's the certificate that actually matters to jobs people.

Yes, that's partly true but what college really does is to certify that you have sufficient self-discipline, motivation and the intellectual wherewithal to assimilate information that you don't necessarily want to learn. That's why an undergraduate degree is so interdisciplinary in its curriculum composition, so as to demonstrate that the successful student who matriculates through the university or college system can learn vast quantities of materials that may not have a high utility function but that will eventuate into something worthy. Delayed gratification is what it really tests.

That's not possible unless you're taking large quantities of hard drugs or are a completely degenerate alcoholic. I think you probably just need some Adderall or some such medication to help you focus your mind. Have you ever been tested for a learning disability or some psychological disorder that may impair your ability to comprehend information? If not, get tested and get whatever accommodations you may be legally entitled to. Anything less would be doing yourself a tremendous disservice.
You can get in to a community college. I worked as an instructor at a CC before I made the transition to working for a four year institution and I can tell you unequivocally that at the community college level, the bottom line is all that matters and especially now, when everyone is suffering from low enrollment numbers, you will be able to get yourself in somewhere.

Yes, go and apply online to a local cc. You can Biden Bucks to help finance your tuition costs. And yes, nearly every cc in the country is going to have the proper accreditation from the higher learning council that will enable you to take that credit and transfer it to wherever you want to ultimately attend and graduate. But seriously, you really ought to get tested and have a determination made as to whether you qualify for special accommodations. Faculty will have to give you more time on evaluations and may even be required to let you use notes or other resources. That could be the difference between you passing and failing.
