I have witnessed it myself.
We had discussions about bullying and my bullies acted in those discussions as if they were against it and would step in if they ever witnessed it.
The typical bystanders snickered and laughed but nobody ever told on each other.

Well we go through many small traumas and outrages during our lives so we gradually build up what I’d refer to as a “coping callous”.
In other words since we learned to deal with so much trauma large and small (but probably smaller ones first) over a long period of time we don’t completely fall apart and end it all usually when another major trauma happens to us as we’re so used to it by now.
Well foids living their lives on tutorial mode for so long simply aren’t used to suffering and haven’t built up our level of tolerance for traumas either major or minor.
So to us what happened to her would be just another day but for her it’s an earth shattering event that obviously overwhelmed her to the point the only option she could see or find to end her pain was to take her own life.

Yep, just goes to show how easy they have it when something so insignificant is life shattering to them. Women live on such easy mode it’s insane.
I also have far more tolerance for physical pain/ illness than most from my chronic health conditions and things I deal with on the regular would be brutal enough for most people to go the the emergency room for treatment and care.
Exact same principle applies to the romantic side of life like you said. We’re used to constant misery there so nothing is surprising or anything new to us. They are used to being so extremely pampered and cared for in all areas of life that any deviation from that makes them lose their mind
