South Korea actually revoked naturalisation, this is basically unheard of in Western Europe, even though if you read the prerequisites for becoming Dutch and their extremely strict rules, in reality these are never enforced because our government is run by foreigners (just walk into any Dutch ministry, a significant number of employees are either Surinamese or Muslim), but the South Korean government is still mostly run by Koreans, so they actually revoked the South Korean nationality of the Pakistani men.

but the singaporean population themselves is generally not as significant to the current modus operandi of the country. its economy is dedicated to foreign businesses and immigrants, it's not really home-grown and generally relies on imports for most things
