Yes, I know this is a joke critiquing the hollowness of corporate feminism, but it still delivers the core message of true gender equality — the Marxist far left, calling itself radical feminists, is a big component that critiques modern feminism yet supports equality, is structurally similar to the joke's message.
Even if it critiques modern idpol, it is still pushing a universalist feminist agenda, therefore is disruptive — children's game and shows should not contain these debates at all.
I missed the days of Sonic Adventure 1 & 2, where there were no identity politics. It was Sonic and friends (the heroes) fighting against eggman and other bad guys who want to take over the world.
Did the old games featured politics? Definitely, the tyranny militaristic bad guys, knuckles lineage getting genocided, etc, but these were no micro politics that crept into daily life.
There were no micro politics (like gender identity) that is disruptive on a everyday level, hell, even big the cat was retarded as a funny joke.
Sonic the hedgehog is inherently an Asian entertainment franchise, where discussions like LGBT, feminism, anti fat shaming etc, are not a daily topic and therefore should not be included. If Westerners produced spinoffs, then they should adhere to Asian norms and not add the culture war things.
