Monique Medeiros, Henry's "mother," who participated in the murder of the boy Henry Borel, received a judicial pardon from feminist judge Elizabeth Machado Louro of the Second Jury Court of Rio de Janeiro, after the crime of homicide was immorally reclassified as manslaughter (when there is no intent to kill). The judge also stated that society's reaction of disgust regarding the murder committed by Monique and her boyfriend against their own son was "disproportionate and excessive." She considered the reaction "gender-discriminatory," influenced by the "patriarchal culture" that, according to Elizabeth, still guides and permeates social mentality and practices. For us, the message is clear: any woman who commits a crime, whether stabbing her husband, boyfriend, or hairdresser, can do so at will because she will not be imprisoned! Any woman who makes a false accusation accusing an innocent person of rape can do so without a second thought, because nothing will happen, and now, as the boy's own father said: a message that a mother can kill her own son and nothing will happen.
