I actually used to fantasize about this exact idea so much that I wrote a short story about a boy who does exactly that. He quite literally rips his face off because he's such a hideous incel that he simply couldn't take the humiliation at school anymore. He rips his face off and tears his eye sockets out, leaving nothing but a monstrous mass of flesh that has the eyes of the Abyss.

He just ended up killing people by the end of the story—'twas a pretty boring ending, honestly.

One of these days I'd like to rewrite the story and give it an actually interesting plot that still generally follows the same format. I also want to redo the ending, but still have it result in death and despair of some kind.
