Gaming someone recommend me a portable gaming console?

I'm going on a trip tomorrow and need something to do while I sit around. Thinking I should go buy one to day.

Won't be in range of internet so I need something which can support offline single player gaming.

Not sure if I can get cartridges...

I think you can get some games downloaded off networks like with nintendo switch? But I imagine a lot of them are multiplayer...

Get a used DS or a GBA and a flashcart. You can load the flashcard up with hundreds of ROMs for free. Classic games were better. Also GBA and DS had way longer battery life than switch and they're small enough to fit in your pocket.

This is also a great option. I think there's some way you can mod it and load it up with pirated games and emulators, but I never owned one so I don't know how hard it is.

I still think DS/GBA is a better option, but PSP is also very based.

Get a hacked 3ds, you can play snes, nes, gbc, gba, nintendo ds games etc, and of course, 3ds games. You don't need a r4, just a sd card. If you get a new 3ds you can even play ps1 games.

Vita is better deal since it has full psp emulator, plus you get touch screen, right analog stick, better screen, generally newer hardware and software etc. I have vita myself and it's great

I have a vita too, there is some guy making android ports now and is great, you can play gta 3, gta vice city and even san andreas. He made other ports like the bully game, max payne etc. Overall great console despite sony shitting on it.

You cant go wrong with these 3, i dont know how good you are with tech, i dont have a vita but i hacked bunch of psp and 3ds systems its easy as a pie. You can download countless game from the internet and 99 percent of the titles are good single player games.

Get a Switch Lite.

Just understand that you don’t need an Internet connection to use it while away from home but you do need to sign into your account I believe on the Eshop page and register it as your main Switch console before you can use it away from home without an Internet connection check in.

Otherwise you’ll be out on the road as my dumb ass once was wondering why the fuck a console and games that I paid for were refusing to work without my first signing in to the Internet.

In anycase you can find YouTube tutorials on how to make a particular Switch your main Switch console so that the above doesn’t happen to you.
